Filmmaker Tim Amatulli
After many festival acceptances and rejections, Tim's "THE QUIET PAIN," his senior thesis film at Fairfield University, is officially available to the public.

His short film (12 min. 40 sec.) explores the dilemma of Kiriko, who after the discovery of her husband’s affair, must make a split-second decision - should she expose her husband's infidelities or maintain appearances for the sake of their young daughter?

The film was named Best Student Short - Chain NYC Film Festival 2020. Other recognition:

"It was tough to not be able to attend most of these festivals, since everything went virtual. I was looking forward to meeting new people and sharing my work with others. Guess I’ll just have to do it all again. I can’t wait to share whatever comes next."
- Tim Amatulli
"It’s time to finally close the door on this chapter of my career," said Tim in a May 8 post on Facebook. "As long as this process was, I can’t wait to do it again. I created this film, my love letter to Japanese cinema, to be watched by others."  He is a devoted fan of Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa.

Tim is currently enrolled in Columbia University's Film and Media Studies Master's Program.
