This unique, interactive dance festival at the Thielke Arboretum is open to people of all ages.
Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  RAIN DATE: Sunday, June 13

Site-specific dance workshops and performances for ALL AGES:
Mainstage - Animal Dance Exploration 🐑 with renowned choreographer ​Nai-Ni Chen   
Enjoy modern-based expressive movement next to the Thomas Vielbig and Thomas
  Scerbo Environmental Education Center.

Gazebo - Storytime Ballet Tales 🩰​  with Claudine Ranieri  
Participate in or view balletic movement and stories.

Tree Circle - Nature Dance Flow 🌳  with Julie Finkel   
​Stretch, balance, meditate, and engage in nature-based improvisation.

Pond Field - Global Water Dances by the Pond 💦 with ACGR's own Jamie Sporn
Learn and participate in ​a Global Water Dance featuring choreography performed along the Arboretum pond
 by dancers worldwide. The movement is accessible to dancers of all ages and abilities. ​

Butterfly Garden -  Dance Installation 🦋​ with Lynn Needle 

Enjoy watching our dance installation at the intersection of dance and nature.

​Lynn will present “Monarch,” an excerpt from “Secret Life of Gardens” - a nature myth. Needle, a recipient of multiple grants, focuses on Legend, Myth & Nature. She is founder and artistic director of Art of Motion, home to the Art of Motion Dance Theatre, The company has toured internationally and has performed at The Kennedy Center and at Lincoln Center, as well as at galas and festivals on all terrains.

Meet the Choreographers

In keeping with the Arts Council of Glen Rock’s mission to introduce Glen Rockers to creative and artistic experiences while featuring talent from Glen Rock, Spring into Dance features four dance educators and choreographers with a wealth of creative experience. Our presenters are award-winning dancers, choreographers, innovators, and educators who are passionate about dance and community. They are thrilled to spotlight dance in Glen Rock through this family-friendly event.
